Don't let the name deter you, these beans will leave nothing but a good taste on your tongue. The skunk bean is an heirloom variety that was bred in the northeast by Haudenosaunee and Abenaki tribes. 
 
The wide, flat beans are remincienst of a Christmas Lima, with striking patterns in black and white. Large pods grow on vigorous vining (pole) plants, so trellising is a must! We love how easy the beans are to thresh, and just about everything else about them.
