Although the details of Parrona Verde's history remain murky, we're delighted to be stewards of this seed. This variety has become notorious for vigorous growth in our fields, and will quickly climb any trellis you give it. The bean themselves are on the large side for common beans, and are fantastic in chilis or by themselves.

These beans look very similar to Ojo de Cabra (Eye of the Goat) beans, with beautiful, underlying speckles. Ojo de Cabra beans are thought to be originally from the northern state of Chihuahua, Mexico. And were cultivated by the Rarámuri, or Tarahumara, the indigenous people of that region.
