Isabella is a charming bush bean, that falls into the "Light Red Kidney Bean" category. For those of you who aren't familiar with the lighter-colored version of kidney beans, the rosy hues of Isabella will be a delightful surprise!
 
First bred in by the USDA in Michigan in 1982, Isabella is a fast-growing cultivar with a notoriously strong root system. In years where other beans in our field have been challenged by cold springs and hot summers, Isabella has proven to be a bulwak variety. This variety has moderate resistance to BCMV, anthracnose, and halo blight.
 
Isabella is the perfect bean for chilis, soups, and baked beans!
