Triticum aestivum


Dating back to 1892, this heirloom wheat was developed in the polders of Mont-Saint-Michel, France. This once widespread variety is suitable for use as a spring wheat, or a winter wheat in regions with moderate winters. Excellent for breads and pastries, as described by Vilmorin-Andrieux in The Best Wheats (1909).
