Brassica raphanus
This is a mesmerizing mix of purple, pink, red and white radishes. Many have contrasting colors on the interior and exterior, making for great suprise when you cut them open. Great in salad, pickled, and even sautéed.
These longer season "winter radshes" are best planted in mid-August, and harvested in late-October. We try to dig up all of ours before the first hard frost (below 25F). Roots store well in the fridge or root celler.
