Papaver spp.
Pink peony poppies are nothing short of shocking. Vibrant, bubblegum-hued blossoms crack out of the poppy buds and adorn the garden for several days longer than the classic Hungarian Breadseed. When petals finally drop the classic sea-green breadseed pods are left behind, which are excellent for use as dried flowers.
When sowing poppy seeds it may be helpful to cold stratify them to improve germination. To do this you will sow seeds normally, water them in, and then place your growing container in a cool place (such as a refrigerator) for 3-4 days before returning to normal growing location.
